The MGC original 4x4 is quite an old cube now with predecessors that are better, but in 2024 the cube is certainly an outright great choice. I only have one complaint, and that is that the inners are quite slow.
I am satisfied with the products that I have received. The waiting time was very little and the products itself was good, with no problems, but there is a weird sound that happens every time I turn the outer layer on one side of the 4x4.
The cube itself out of the box is scratchy, however after breaking the cube in and adding lube (to slow it down) the cube turns beautifully.In addition I want to emphasise how good the CubeCo’s customer service is!

Very fast out of the box with a bit of catching, but once I played around with the tensions a bit, added some weight 5 lubrication and broke it in with a couple of solves, it became incredibly stable, smooth and controllable to the point where the only limiting factor of my solve times was my own ability. The cube is great for basically any level of skill with forgivable corner cutting, magnets that make up for small turning errors without hindering turning speed, outer layers that feel like a 3x3 and inner layers that glide so smoothly its hard to believe its a 4x4.
Definitely one of the best 4x4’s on the market right now!
